Iris Biel Therapy
What is therapy with you like?
I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative. Together we can explore the stories you tell youself about yourself, your relationships, and your place in the world. Drawing from narrative, relational, and family systems work, we will look at how these stories are shaped by past experiences, family dynamics, and cultural influences. Together, we can uncover patterns, strengthen connections, and support new ways of understanding and engaging with yourself and others.
If I contact you, do I have to work with you?
Absolutely not! Finding the right therapeutic fit is very important. The relationship between client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes. This is why I like to start with a free 15 minute consultation call, so we can get a sense of each other and make sure it feels like a good match. If it doesn’t, I’d be more than happy to offer recommendations for other clinicians who might be a better fit for you.
Who do you work with?
One of the things I love most about being a therapist is getting to work with people from all walks of life. That said, I have a particular affinity for working with parents, individuals navigating or anticipating life transitions, and those who have always felt a little bit “other” or outside the norm. If any of that resonates with you, I’d be happy to connect.
